This page highlights available planetary data sites and repositories. This list is not exhaustive and will be updated as new resources are developed or decommissioned.
If a resource meets the criteria for listing (see below), please contact hq-pde@mail.nasa.gov. Being listed on this site does not imply an endorsement by NASA or the U.S. Government.
Featured Planetary Data Sites
PDS
The Planetary Data System (PDS) archives planetary data products from NASA's planetary missions, ground-based studies, and laboratory experiments.
Astromat
The Astromaterials Data System (Astromat) is an open archive for accessing, publishing, and preserving analytical laboratory data from planetary astromaterial samples.

Criteria for Listing
Data sites and repositories are considered for listing on this website based on the following criteria:
- Funded by the NASA Planetary Science Division, or funded by another division within the NASA Science Mission Directorate and significantly useful to planetary scientists.
- Data products that are not NASA-funded may be included if deemed significantly scientifically useful and available at no cost.
- Resource is publicly available.
- Desired criteria include:
- Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is provided so this resource can be cited and the author given proper credit.
- Data (and software, if relevant) license is clearly indicated.
- Clear guidance on use is available, including documentation regarding how the dataset was generated and how to cite the dataset.
- Contact information is provided for questions or support.
